College students moving to Chicago. Finding the right Chicago Mover
When I think of the word ‘travel’ I think about an exciting vacation home away from home. However, when you put the words ‘travel’ and ‘move’ in the same sentence, it then becomes a tough challenge.
I’m applying for this college in Chicago, IL. The school is called Columbia College Chicago; it’s one of those schools that seem to be perfect in every way. Although the problem was never the school in the first place; it just seemed like an exhausting job of moving across country from South FL to Chicago, but I’m always determined.
So instead of making this majestic opportunity hard for myself and think about how I’m going to move there, of course wondering what I pack and so on and so forth. I cleared my head, took some helpful advice from a friend, which the next time I move, I needed to hire a moving company to assist me.
Movingguide.net seemed to be the perfect site to do just that. They help me find the best moving company that insures my things; I was also thrilled to see that they also have helpful tips on moving. Since this would be the first time for me to move out of state, I would take all the advice and tips anyone had to offer.
So I was overjoyed to know that this website had everything I needed to make this hard move, an easy one.
Students moving to Chicago
When I was a student, I thought moving was just a breeze, or so I thought. I was so naïve that I thought everything would be easy. I would just have to pack my things and I am ready to go.
My parents wanted me to be independent so even if they already know the pains of moving, they let me be. Apparently they want me to learn the hard way. I will be studying in Chicago and I have to move in there.
All in all, my moving experience is really a disaster. I thought moving to Chicago was a breeze so I didn’t bother to hire Chicago moving companies or even read those moving guides in the internet. I thought my friends who have moved in Chicago already is just overreacting when they are sharing their moving tips to me.
While I am packing my things, the day that I will be moving that is the day when I realized that I would need the assistance of a Chicago moving companies. But its all too late, the opening of school is nearing so almost all the trustworthy moving company our landlady suggested could not accommodate me.
I am so desperate that I finally succumb to contacting a mover through the internet. A big mistake indeed, I should have known better and postponed my move instead. But it is all too late, that fraudulent company overcharged me and broke my stuff.
Since I am only a student, they even threaten me that they would run away with my stuff if I would not agree with the price that they wanted me to pay. It is really a nightmare.
So, for all those students moving to Chicago or someplace else, the advice remains, be prepared. I am not over reacting when I am telling these experiences of mine, they are but sad and sorry truths that I have to experience in order to learn how it is to plan a move.
Prepare, that is the least that you can do. Do remember that if you fail to prepare then you are preparing to fail.
