Tipping Your Movers

February 23, 2009 · Posted in Moving Tips

Moving has always been a hassle. Finding the best moving company can also be hectic, difficult, and time-consuming. Once you do come across the best moving company and organize the move you’ve been waiting for, its great rewarding your movers for a job well done.

There is being generous and being accurate. If you are the type of person who was very satisfied with how the moving crew handled the situation and your belongings and you are the type to tip generously, then any offer more then $40 is considered very generous.

Of course “tipping” always results as to how the workers handled the job overall. For instance, if a mover does a poor job packing, drops your families prized possessions or drags your furniture across the wood floor; ultimately there is a lot more at stake and the moving job goes from amazing to chaotic. Moving your belongings is a moving company’s job. Moving them with care is also apart of their job, since it shows their skills and how reliable the company is.

So when taking the time to move, always consider the tip; on how much to give, the overall job, and the attitude from the workers. As long as the job turned out to perfection, then your tip to the movers is perfect.
